Wow, I grew up with the girl arguing with her husband and a bottle of liquor on the table.
About 40 years ago we pioneered together until finally she found a husband and they both went to Bethel. As far as I know they never had any kids. If they are still in Bethel they are in their 60s. They were Hard-core jdubs.

i am stumped for an answer and would love to hear your opinions, though.
every week or two for the last couple of years, i have a dream--or at least that's what i'm calling it--that consists of me waking up or thinking that i've waked up, and seeing the ceiling of my darkened bedroom filled with algebraic equations.

Do these authors actually say what the evidence *is*?
From what I can remember, the WTS has never admitted that there is any historical written evidence available that the NT authors used the Hebrew letters for the tetragrammaton. Because it was removed in the 3rd century by apostates guided by the devil.
They said it was “Assumed” that the NT writers used the divine name. Reason being that
1st God’s Son would not be bound by man-made superstitions and
2nd Their love and respect for the Divine name would compel them use the name freely.

So it just dawn on me that for some 45 years I was praying to a made up Name. No different than praying to Mickey Mouse or Scooby-Doo.
There is no way any of my JW relatives will buy this. If I even suggested any of this information, they would reenact the scripture in Mark and have me institutionalize.

I’m new here and as I’ve been looking at some of the past postings on different subjects. I noticed some of your posts and got hooked. I really enjoy your writing. When I start reading some of your stories or ideas, it’s like you take me to places I’ve never been before and leave me there and I have to find my way back all by myself.
Now when I pick up a Watchtower magazine and skim through it, it’s like picking up a kindergarten book that reads, “Run Spot Run"
And to think we were told that four years of reading the Watchtower was the same as getting a four year University degree, and eight years of reading was the same as getting a PhD.

The WTS teaches that the Woman is the 144,000 which includes the Governing Body.

What I find Interesting, is that John saw a pure woman go into the “WILDERNESS"
but notice what John saw coming "out" of the wilderness:

Why did John "wonder with a great wonder"? He had been seeing all
kinds of crazy visions. (fire and blood, creatures, and all kinds of weird
stuff.) Why did this one in particular
make him "wonder"?
Could it be that he wondered why the woman
coming "out" of the "wilderness" was a Whore when what went
"into" the wilderness was "pure"?
So if the Governing Body admits they are part of the Woman that went into the
wilderness to get fed by God but came out a whore, then they will be among the
first to be wiped out and we apostates will be at the ringside with popcorn
seeing it all play out.

i was deleted as the cobe after i let my adult child move back home and he admitted that he fornicated under my roof while my wife and i where away on a rbc project.
of course the elder mode in me kicked him out of the house.. the elders moved quickly to remove me because i was too involved in "theocractic activities", i had neglected my adult son.. i accepted this primarily because i didn't want to serve with a boe that did not want me.
i was devastated however because it was the only life i knew.

I was in the Organization since 1975, I was an elder for 20 years, Pioneered, talks at conventions, and all the other stuff that labels one a spiritual giant. I’ve only be out a little over a year and I’m not sure why I feel this way but I am so freaking happy I can’t believe what is happening in my life right now. I compare my life now to all the politicking I had to do in the organization with other elders and COs and I can’t help but feel sorry for all those still in having to set up shields around themselves and their families from idiotic individuals who demand you live by certain rules.
Once you start realizing what you missed all those years you were in, trying to walk a fine line and keep everyone happy, you will start enjoying what you missed and forget what you left behind. You will be like a 20 year old kid that just found out he has a 10 million dollar trust fund.
a few weeks ago i was working out of my home state and was in a grocery store parking lot when i received my first jw witness since leaving jwdom.
a youngish-looking lady was sitting in an suv parked next to my car and i was about to get in my car to leave.
she opened the door and asked whether she could give me something to read (had a tract in her hand)..

Actually you planted a virus on that girl and that virus is lodging in one of her thinking cells. One of these days she well be in a weak state, perhaps get reproved unjustly, or be the center of gossip, or lose a boyfriend, or husband, and then when she if feeling upset and down she will remember your words. Bam!
The virus is not dormant anymore, it starts multiplying and she starts researching, and the next thing you know she is on this site relating her experience:
“You know, one day at a parking lot, I talked to this man………..”
